My school has chosen to host a fundraiser for Candlelighters, a local organization providing daily support to children with cancer and their entire family. Funds raised will go towards support like hospital parking costs, meal passes, gas cards, support groups and more.

Did you know:

- 8 children are diagnosed with cancer in Houston each day

- the average age of a child diagnosed with cancer is 6

- 80% of childhood cancer families struggle financially

- Candlelighters is the only organization in Houston providing these necessities daily at both MD Anderson and Texas Children's Hospital
